Over and over you hear that aging results in pain, illness, and decline. I have questions about this train of thought. At what age are you going "down hill"? What happens with those people who are healthy and vital over the age of 50, 70, or even 90? These questions plagued my mind for years as I looked into the future of my own demise. I searched for answers, only to discover that age is not the disease, but self neglect and abuse is. Most people take better care of their cars and homes than they do their body. Yet, there is so much conflicting data out there. What is true? What is best for me?? I continued to search, only to realize that we are all individual. Each human comes in a different size, shape, sex, race, culture, metabolism, blood type...there is no one answer. Each of us heals in our own way in our own time.
As I continued to search and study, I started gained more understanding. It became very exciting...an ever changing puzzle. As a nurse, I was instructed by physicians to mask symptoms with a drugs, remove the problem with surgery, or cover it with a band-aid. But I was learning that for our body to be well, we must find balance from within. Drugs and band aids are temporary. I made a choice to focus on wellness rather than illness...to look at the whole person and guide them back to the original essence of their innate wellness, knowing that balance stems from where we are physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I provide personalized nutrition/health coaching, private yoga, guided meditation instruction, therapeutic massage therapy and energy work to meet your individual needs. I will come to you in the northern NJ region, and even provide coaching services over the phone. Live well, feel good, and remember...a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step!
